DPL Table Tennis Tournament 2025: Teams Locked and Ready to Compete!

DPL’s highly anticipated Table Tennis Tournament officially kicked off on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Workplace 4.0. With the teams now confirmed, excitement is at an all-time high as Rebels get set to demonstrate their skills, strategy, and sportsmanship on the table.

The tournament will follow a best-of-3 match format, ensuring intense action from start to finish. The top two teams from each group will move on to the next stage, making every match crucial in the race to secure the coveted championship title.

Table tennis is one of the popular sports at DPL, with Rebels constantly playing to unwind between tasks. The tournament further promotes collaboration, healthy competition, and the very essence of DPL’s dynamic culture.

Sharing his insights on the event, CEO Syed Ahmad said, “At DPL, we believe in agility—not just in how we work but in how we think, collaborate, and grow together. This tournament is a celebration of our Rebels, their passion, and the camaraderie that sets us apart. While competition sharpens us, it’s the spirit of teamwork and resilience that truly defines us.”

DPL’s four teams—Anarchists, Comrades, Insurgents, and Outlaws— have internally announced their representatives.

• Anarchists: M. Ahmed, Haseeb ur Rehman, Osama, Saad, Umais, Bilal S., M. Rehan, Abdul Rehman
• Comrades: Haider, Nasir, Syed Ahmed, Salman H., Attir, Talha R., Sohaib, Waqas S.
• Insurgents: Samiya, M. Shahrukh, Basit A., Tayyaba, Walid A., Afzaal, Haris I., Sameer
• Outlaws: Naveed A., Ali, Swair, Rehan, Iqra, Miriam, Talha S., Asif A.

The heads of the teams have been equally excited about the event.

“We’re here to dominate. Expect high intensity matches and a winning mindset,” expressed the captain of Anarchists. Responding to him, the Comrades captain said, “Our squad thrives on chemistry and adaptability. We trust our strategy.”

Insurgents’ captain also expressed full zeal, saying, “We’re ready to challenge the best—bring it on!” And to not be left behind, the captain of the Outlaws commented, “A mix of seasoned players and rising stars—we’re ready for anything.”

As the tournament approaches, players and fans alike are gearing up for what promises to be an unforgettable event.
