DPL’s Alnair Hosts Medical Experts to Educate Rebels on Preventive Health
DPL reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being with a preventive healthcare session held on Thursday, 26th December. The session featured a panel of medical experts comprising:
- Dr. Rimsha Rani Mushtaq (Neurosurgeon, Nescom Hospital)
- Dr. Fatima Yousaf (Surgeon, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England)
- Dr. Abdullah (Telemedicine Specialist, RMP, FCPS 1)
The event revolved around a statement – “Plan B is there, but let’s focus on getting Plan A right: staying healthy and informed”. Through it, DPL aims to equip employees with practical insights and tools for maintaining a healthier lifestyle, while proactively addressing potential health concerns.
The session was an initiative by Alnair, DPL’s flagship medical benefits policy which means “The Bright One” in Arabic and is a star in the Grus constellation. The policy is a key part of DPL’s broader vision to establish itself as a model IT enterprise in the region.
Unlike traditional insurance policies, Alnair emphasizes ethical practices and mutual benefit over profit-driven models. It further represents DPL’s dedication to a more ethical and humane approach to healthcare.
“A company thrives when its people thrive,” said Syed Ahmad, CEO of DPL. “Alnair is more than just a benefits program—it’s a testament to how we value our people. With today’s initiative, we’re taking things beyond providing healthcare. We’re empowering our employees to take charge of their health and well-being. This approach isn’t just good for business—it’s the right thing to do.”
The event began with a general session covering early warning signs of common illnesses, strategies for preventive care, and tips for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. The visiting physicians then guided Rebels on the early detection of health issues, preventive care, and maintaining overall wellness.
The session’s interactive format ensured sustained engagement, prompting interesting discussions on proactive health management. Rebels valued the opportunity to engage directly with the physicians, receiving insights to better navigate potential health challenges.
Participants were then divided into gender-segregated breakouts. These aimed to offer a comfortable environment for more intimate and open discussions with the medical experts. Limited one-on-one consultation slots were also available for personalized advice.
DPL’s proactive approach to employee healthcare sets it apart as a forward-thinking, people-first organization. For updates on future initiatives and events, follow DPL on Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and Facebook.
